The AI Decision Authority Study
How does human review work when AI influences organisational decisions?
I am conducting independent exploratory research into how human involvement works in organisational decisions influenced by AI.
For this study, an AI-supported decision means a decision in which AI helps classify, score, predict, rank, recommend or determine an outcome, even where a human makes the final decision.
Please answer with one real decision process that you know reasonably well in mind. Do not identify your organisation and do not include names, confidential information, or customer, employee or patient data.

The AI Decision Authority Study is an independent exploratory research project conducted by Bess Obarotimi as part of ongoing research into decision authority, governance execution and AI-supported organisational decision-making.
The questionnaire does not ask for your name, employer or contact details. Please do not include information that identifies you, your organisation, customers, employees, patients or other individuals, or any confidential or commercially sensitive information.
Responses will be analysed in aggregate. Open-text comments will only be quoted where permission has been given and will be reviewed before publication to reduce the risk of identifying an individual or organisation.
Raw questionnaire data may be retained for up to 24 months while the research is analysed and developed. Anonymised research findings may subsequently be retained as part of the longer-term research record.
Participation is voluntary.
If you separately volunteer for a practitioner research conversation, the contact information you provide for that purpose is collected through a separate form and is not automatically linked to your questionnaire response.
