Coffee first

It’s the early hours of the morning; you’re raring to go. But first, a coffee, so you pour yourself one. Then what?

Laptop gets switched on; whirring is over; all necessary apps are loaded.


For who? And for what?

It’s probably best you make your mind up, don’t you think? I mean, why are you here on this page? What’s the point of it all? Do you even know?

The trouble is there are still too many brands who end up day after day spending vast amounts of energy, time and money on tasks that offer little financial reward. They are often sucked into the mediocrity of business and what everyone else is doing and what we were told we must do – yawn!

It’s true. They find themselves doing work that lacks truth, originality and purpose. Without realising, they are not fulfiling the vision they woke up for. Are you?

A Little Secret

Listen, this is the long game but far more profitable.

If you’re ready to play, I’ll tell you all about it.

But you have to promise me that you’ll be all in, or else it’s pointless you even being here reading this.

Also, you’ll remain right where you are – chasing the money but not getting any because you’re missing the point; or you have forgotten the point, or worse still, you haven’t the foggiest why you do what you do apart from it seeming like a good idea.

Ssshh – listen up. Here it is. Here’s what you need to know. It’s a service. What you do is a service. The new marketing is a service; an opportunity, not just for you to show up – for Pete’s sake, we can all show up, and most of us do, in an incredibly soporific way. And here comes the cliché -it’s an opportunity to be the change you want to see. Grow a pair, be audacious, have a forceful voice on something and be a remarkable presence in the marketplace.

If success is truly the goal, and for most of us, it is; otherwise, get off my page and don’t come back – if success is your goal, when you have finished that coffee, put aside every task you thought you were going to do, until you do work that makes a visceral change.
