My Soul Was Crying

I recommend everyone buy and listen to Within You is the Power, the audiobook by Thomas Hamblin. This Book Changed my Life.

I’ve listened to this book multiple times. The first time was in 2019, at a particularly low point in my life. I didn’t have the things I wanted, but I didn’t even know what I wanted anymore. I was dissatisfied, but I didn’t know what could fix it.

My soul was crying out to be heard. So I listened and asked my soul what it wanted. My soul replied, “Power!”

I decided I should start reading about power. I already had the book, The 48 Laws Of Power by Robert Greene, a great author. It’s a good book, buy it. But a quick flick through reminded me it was not what I was looking for at that time.

I couldn’t talk

A quick search on Scribd listed Thomas Hamblin’s audiobook. Every time I went for a run, I listened to it.

That book was mesmerising. Thomas spoke of things that I needed to hear and left me speechless for a week or two. Yes, I couldn’t talk. It was kind of odd but comforting at the same time. The book changed something in me forever. Maybe something on the inside had woken up; perhaps I’d made a deeper connection with my soul. I definitely went inward, deep within myself and barely spoke.

I listened again as soon as I finished. The second time I discovered more peace and joy. I actually walked around with a grin on myself. I’ve heard that book multiple times, and now I am finding the power within me.

It’s not what you are thinking. The book isn’t about gaining the power to manipulate people or become rich. However, wealth and success are by-products. Besides, manipulation was not what I wanted. I wanted to read about something more than the ordinary. You see, I could sense there was power to life, and I wanted to experience it.

Many people experience deep and dark periods in life where nothing makes sense. They know it should, but they just can’t grasp what to look for. So they go through the motions outwardly whilst inwardly they are lost. That’s where I was.

And in that deep and dark period, I was fortunate to question myself and get a response. Finally, I realised that a spiritual power would give me control over my life, attitude, emotions, relationships, and circumstances instead of just dealing with all the drudgery that seemed to be coming my way.

Superhumans maybe

I was fed up with suffering and striving. Most of us are fed up with it. We get caught up with the ordinary, nothing seems to work the way we want whilst there are these…superhumans maybe… that seem to get it…almost effortlessly. But, of course, it’s not effortless; they work hard. But I was working hard, and maybe you are working hard, but I was getting nowhere.

When I discovered that audiobook, I was beyond fed up with the limitations over my life, I felt powerless to do anything about them. It didn’t matter how hard I tried, nothing was working, and it was making me depressed.

So I listened to Within you is the power, again and again. This Book Changed my Life. You should read it too.
